This Gucci bag was named after the iconic Jackie Kennedy (later Onassis). It was one the former US First Lady's favourite bags and she was often seen around NYC in the '60s and '70s with it on her shoulder. We love the hobo style of this bag, with its Flora print which was first introduced by Gucci in 1966 in honour of Grace Kelly (she famously used the Gucci Floral scarf design as a sling for her broken arm). The Flora pattern was drawn by Vottorio Accornero, textile designer for the House of Gucci between 1960 and 1981. It included 37 colours on a white background which highlighted flowers, berries and insects.
This bag is in good pre-loved condition, with wear along the leather trims. Exterior is in good condition. Some gentle use on the gold tone hardware. c.2012/13.
20 x 32 x 3 cm. Handle drop 26cm.
